I decided to create a place where friends and family can follow my shenanigans on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). I plan to start on Monday, April 6th, and finish the 2,650-mile trail at the end of August! I hope to have regular updates, occasionally some pictures, and a site that ‘really whips the llama’s ass’.

Good luck Jon. I know you’ll do great. Are you taking pictures or planning to keep a journal with pertinent observations for “followers”? What I don’t know is how you managed to evade the quotidian and take 5 months off job and other things?
Hi Jon, I got to meet you briefly at this year’s ADK Winter Mountaineering School. I wish you good luck, good health, and lots of good chance encounters with fellow hikers and Trail Angels along the way. (My references come from watching the 1 1/2 hour youtube video, “As It Happens: Pacific Crest Trail” documentary–you may have seen it?). In any case, you are sure to have an epic adventure–thank you for sharing tid-bits with us along the way! ‘Good Hiking!
Haha! I took that photo! Please look at the trail when you’re hiking – wouldn’t want to have you wander off. Or, maybe don’t and have a great adventure!
